"Error on Disk LL During Read" When Printing

This error occurs when printing from a DOS application under some versions of Windows. It happens because Windows is not handling DOS print jobs correctly. The solution is to turn off DOS print spooling in Windows.

Turning Off Spooling

1. Press the Start button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Printers.
4. Click once with the right mouse button on your printer's icon.
5. Select Properties from the popup menu.
6. Select the tab called Details.
7. Press the Port Settings button at bottom of the Details tab window.
8. Uncheck the Spool MS DOS Print Jobs check box.
9. Press the OK button on this window.
10. Press Ok to close all open windows.

NOTE: Use the left mouse button except when selecting the printer icon.
