Checking for ScoreKeeper Updates
On ScoreKeeper's Help menu is an item titled "Check Web for Updates." The idea is that you can click this to go to a special page on the Beaverlog web site that will tell you if you are running the latest version or present a link to the most recent update. A bug on the web site (not in ScoreKeeper) would report that you were running the most recent version even when your version was well behind the current version. That has been fixed. Now you can use the ScoreKeeper menu to keep you up to date.
What happens when you download an update from this web link is that an installation program will be downloaded to your computer. In some web browsers, you can choose to save the file to your computer or run it directly. Before you run the installation, be sure to close ScoreKeeper or the installtion will not run.
We are compiling a list of what scoreboard systems are being used by our customers, whether they are using them with ScoreKeeper or not. This information will help us in developing new and enhanced scoreboard interfaces. We would greately appreciate it if you would drop us a note on whether your facility has a display scoreboard system, and if so, what manufacturer and version (if you know it). Click on the following link to send a email message with this information to email@example.com.
