Fees Appearing on Statements
The fees that appear on statements are effected by settings within The THERAPIST and choices you make when printing the statements..
In the Practice Settings you can choose between the following choices:
- None
- If you are not charging any fees to patients, select None. Statements
will be printed but entries in the "Your Amount" column will
be blank or zero.
- Full Fee
- Select Full Fee if you charge patients the full fee for the service.
This is used most often for patients with no insurance or if you do
not bill the patient's insurance.
- Patient Portion
- Select Patient Portion to bill patients only for what the insurance
does not pay. The amounts shown will be the fees due from the patient
(and/or responsible party) and would not include any fees due from insurance.
In the Patient Demographics you are given a chance to use the Practice
setting as determined in the Practice Preferences above or override the
selection for the selected patient. Your choices are:
- None
- Select None if you are not charging any fees to this patien. A statement
will be printed but the fees charged will be blank or zero.
- Full Fee
- Select Full Fee to charge the patient the full fee for the service.
This is used most often for patients with no insurance or if you do
not bill the patient's insurance.
- Patient Portion
- Select Patient Portion if you want to bill the patient only for what
the insurance does not pay. The amounts shown will be the fees due from
the patient (and/or responsible party) and would not include any fees
due from insurance.
- Practice Setting
- If you select this option, the patient will be billed according to
the settings you make for your entire practice. Select one of the others
only if you want to override the practice setting.
