Patient Diagnosis on Statements

Some practices do not bill insurance. Instead they let patient's submit their own claims to their insurance payer. To facilitate this, it would be useful to have the diagnosis codes listed somewhere on the statement form. The THERAPIST does not support automatically including diagnosis codes on patient statements. Instead, you can enter the diagnosis codes (or whatever other information you desire) via the statement header or footer on the Statements tab of the patient demographics record. Be sure to check the "Retain header (or footer) when printing statements" check box to keep the entries from being cleared after statements have been printed.

Another alternative is to print plain paper insurance claims and give patients a copy of this along with their statements.
